Benefits of using our PDR service:
The technology of Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) has been around for many years. The most common method of PDR is the use of metal rods to push the dents out from the inner side of the body panel being repaired. Also, glue pulling can be used, this is where a special glue tab is glued to the outer panel in the center of a dent and pulled out using special tools until the dent has been repaired. This method can sometimes take longer to achieve a complete repair as the process may require several pulls. In either case, fine-tuning of the repair often involves "tapping" down the repair to remove small high spots, making the surface flat. PDR may be used on both aluminum and steel panels. If a technician pushes too hard when creating these high spots, the paint will split and the repair is ruined. A light-reflection board is used and placed near the damaged panel to see the shadows created by the deformation of the dent. This is an important aspect of the repair process. Without a Paintless Dent Repair reflector board, the fine detail of the process is unseen, and the technician cannot locate their tool specifically and cannot remove the damage accurately. The process of PDR requires us to specifically push exact locations of metal to a precise height, which can only be witnessed with the use of a PDR reading instrument. PDR takes time to learn and perfect. The ability to successfully remove dents and dings is learned over several years. An untrained individual can actually damage a dent if attempting a repair without the correct skills, knowledge and tools. DentPopper prides itself on taking that extra care and time to provide a first class PDR service to all it's customers. As well as providing a reliable, high quality service, we are confident that we also provide value for money and competitive rates.
